So the CURE was effing AMAZING!

they played for 3 hours!!!! there were 3 encores!!!!

i was so excited to watch Robert Smith dancing. it was awesome!!!

crowd in our section SUCKED. there were only 4 of us up and dancing. everyone else was sitting down. WHY??? I don't understand why someone would buy a ticket to a show just to sit there. get up and dance, bitches! show the band some respect!

met up with tenebrosity and her husband before the show to get something to eat. That was good times. :D

i can't hear anything but ringing in my ears right now, but it was worth it.

Also, i'm totally in love with Simon, the bassist. YESSIR! And of course Robert. :D

okay. so i just finished watching Doctor Who, which was awesome, right? i was all pumped up and screaming "NOOOOO.....stupid 2 parters!" then the dogs started going crazy.

so i walked out into the living room and notice a rather big unidentified flying object. *insert big WTF face here* i stopped crouching long enough to figure out what it was.

Omfg, i am So bored!!! Ive done a whopping 20 bucks so far. Not many people coming in to rent movies these days with the economy being so crappy. Stupid unrealistic gas prices.

having a blast, and wishing i didn't come home tomorrow!

we went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday and had so much fun! Rode Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and Its a Small World to name a few. didn't get a chance to ride splash mountain and by the time we went with our fast passes over to Space Mountain it had broken down. blah. we had a great spot and great view of Cinderella's Castle at the end of the night for the presentation of the SPECTROMAGIC parade and for the WISHES fireworks show. It was awesome b/c Tinkerbell "flew" out of the Castle! :) <3

i really spent entirely too much money there! bought a whole bunch of the trading pins! some mickey star wars ones and i found a Who framed Roger Rabbit one! i also bought a tshirt there and a Nightmare before Christmas bag! I <3 Tim Burton stuff! It was fun going with someone who used to work there so i learned the ins and outs as we walked around. :D

Today, we went to Clearwater beach, since ive never seen any other ocean thats not the Atlantic. it was so PRETTY there! Only stayed for a bit as parking was expensive! But we got to see a Pirate Ship!!! Nifty!

Right now, i'm playing with the cutest dog in the world, Miss Nica. i wish all my dogs were as good as her!

my flight leaves a little after noon tomorrow, and i'll be home by 1:45. then it'll be time to go thru over 700 pics from my trip, LOL.

just chillaxed yesterday and hung around the house. fun. David came over and we watched torchwood. :) i love his friend David, he's such a sweetheart!

today i think we're going shopping at the mall and going to eat some chinese for lunch and maybe catch a movie at the cinema. should be mucho fun.

tomorrow is going to be Disney!!! going to The Magic Kingdom! so excited! then thursday he's going to show me the beach! woohoo.

Off to sleep! For when i wake up, i will be off to the airport and on my way to tampa!

So today was a busy day!

Woke up and rallied my sister crystal to go with me. Went out to eat at tequilas and then over to the saturn dealership to get my oil changed.

Fell in love with the new saturn astro. Such a cute car! I love my Vue though. I asked Jason, who sold me my vue questions about my lease, if i wanted to trade what it would entail. Just out of curiosity. I probably just wanted it because it was advertised as one of the best selling cars in europe, lol. Im a sucker.

Left there and went shopping over to Costco. Well, more like walked around, as we sont habe a membership. Then stopped over at Whole Foods and walked around there. Saw one of my old customers from when i worked at batesville, so that was cool.

Then we stopped by cato, sally's, the dollar tree and pet land. We played with animals for a while, lol. Finally, spent an hour in wal-mart and home.

I think ive got everything i need for florida now. :). Just need to pack and im set! Is it sunday yet???!??

is it just me, or did april fools day seem to just bring out the particularly more pain in the butt customers today?

i mean every one i had either yelled at me or threw stuff at me. but the one that takes the cake leaving me with the biggest wtf moment is this one.

backstory:
last week a customer came in and rented a bunch of gay titles (cowboys and angels, 10 attitudes, everyone, etc.). me, having watched the majority of them pointed out the particularly good ones and reccomended some others. he was cool about it and was on his way.

today:
i was alphabetizing movies at the drop box, and noticed the same guy walk up. i cheerily smiled and waved and went back to my alphabetizing. he knocked on the window to get my attention and when i looked up like he had this hateful look on his face and flicked me off! i just smiled and waved goodbye then it dawned on me what had just happened. i'm still a bit WTF about it...

i blame being sick. bah.

eeee!! Torchwood was good, even though it was Gwen Centric. i LOVE LOVE LOVED the music for it!

and i made .gifs of THAT scene so i can stare at it all i want and that beeyotch can't interrupt. :D

its also the last day i had my tongue ring! i had to take it out after 7 years! Apparently my District Manager said something to my manager about taking them out to look more professional for a store manager position. i dunno if its coming anytime soon, but i went ahead and took it out. i mean if more money is coming my way, i'll take it. We'll see.

Wonderful day out today! April, Alicia, Crystal, Melissa and I went up to Table Rock and hiked the carrick creek trail. It was about 75 degrees and sunny and felt so nice out! We hiked, chilled out by the waterfalls, saw newts/salamanders/lizards, then had a sandwich picnic out by the lake. Fantastic! Lots of fun was had by all. Took lots of pictures. Will have to post tomorrow.

Its pay day! Gotta go up to the store, get my check and go to the bank then come home and have to be back at work at 4. Lovely.

Ugh! What is with mothers letting their young children call up here and ask for things?

Im currently pissed because ive been called a liar a customer today. And also by a customer yesterday but that lady was no surprise.

The one just now let her child call and ask for a game which i told him we didnt carry anymore. Then his mom called back and called me a liar because someone told them it was checked out. Ugh. I know how stuff is in my store lady. ive only worked here for four bloody years!!!!

yesterday sucked big time. i got woken up by a text from my dumb manager. Trying to say that i didn't do the reprices. which i totally did, and they came down wrong from corporate. he was trying to tell me that i can't open on sunday b/c i never get anything done.

lets see. what did i get done yesterday: retail to rental transfer, 2 different rental to previously viewed transfers, good to distribution transfer, reprices, reset paperwork for march in file cabinet and reset paper work in black book for march.

now you tell me that i never get anything done. a-hole.

anyway. as soon as he woke me up, my stomach started hurting so bad which ended in me totally getting sick. i thought my appendix or something were going to burst! but the pain wasn't in the appendix area so i finally managed to lay down and fall back asleep for a few hours. and woke up feeling so much better. i dunno what caused me to get so sick, but since my boss rudely awakened me, i'm blaming it on him.


so last night i made a sign for the store. trying to be all creative. ( check it out under cut )

i went to FedEx/Kinko's today and got in blown up poster size. Hopefully it will help drive revenue.

i work 4-close tonight. i hope he didn't write me up for "not doing reprices". he's just that type of person. call you up on your day off to bitch. ugh. hopefully they will move me around and i won't have to deal with him. :/

speaking of, he just texted again. anyone want to preorder GTA 4? meh. whatever.

eee. in 2 days, it will be a MONTH until i get to hang with mah aussie_bryce. yay!

today was a decent day. the most notable thing being that i talked to our new District Manager.

its the first time ive seen him since we switched over to his district and i got a chance to talk to him about the direction that i want to go within the company. i think i really impressed him with all the store things that i do now. :D

we also talked about a possible move to a store closer to home. yay!

this guy called the store today looking for adult movies. of course we don't carry any, so i told him to try pandora's box. he had just moved back to the states from Turkey or something and was unsure of the location, so i told him where it was. then he apologized if he caused me any discomfort or embarrassment. which i told him he didn't and it was fine.

so then he calls back again. and asks me if i had ever been. i politely tell him no. he was just inquiring if it would be an okay place b/c he wanted to take his wife. *TMI* then he asks what he needs to start a membership and what not at our store and what kind of titles we carry that would be good for his children. and i tell him about stuff and tell him about the Rewards program. and he thanks me one more time and apologizes for asking me embarrassing questions. and says how he can't wait to do business with us as we are so nice.

so about 10 mins later he calls again. he wanted the customer care number so he could call and leave them a complement about me being so helpful and nice with him. he said how most places don't have that kind of helpful service and kind of brush people off. i told him it was really unnecessary for him to have to call and i was just doing my job. but he insisted, so i gave him the number and store number and he thanked me yet again and apologized one more time for taking up my time and causing any embarrasment. i told him i had been asked far worse, and he was like thats very unfortunate.

so yes, i'm actually alive.

i hate the assholes that live in my neighborhood. everyone abuses our animals. now the dog that we rescued from abuse as a puppy has been picked up for "biting" some guy. He was kicking her. I would have bit his stupid ass, too.

she had slipped out of the house while my sister went to get the mail, my sister was trying to get the dog, this guy was walking up the street and tippy was barking at his heels, of course. Tippy doesn't bite because she has big jowls that make it hard for her to bite head on. She is very dainty. she may have pawed him with her front paw, but it would have been hard for her to "bite" him. Now she is in the pound and i'm sure the asshole judges in this state will put her to sleep anyway. They have no remorse for the truth here. IT WAS DEFINATELY HIS FAULT.

i miss him already.

i found out as soon as i got to work. i had 3 different friends call and 6 text me. Everyone knew how big of a fan i am of him.

It's sad that he died on Michael Hutchence's birthday. :( Both were amazing men and they both represented Australia well. Both had young daughters when they died.

I think in some twisted way, i foreshadowed his death. I took my sleeping pill on Monday night, took a bath, fell asleep in said bath with water running, and luckily did not drown. But i did wake up to 1/2 inch of water on the floor, so i must have only been asleep 10-15 minutes. but still.

K so today was quite fun... I closed at work, which was crazy busy. It is supposed to snow here again tomorrow. Im supposed to work 12-9 but if it does start to ice up the roads, i'm coming home. I work way too far away. :(

I went and cashed my check this afternoon before work and i decided i wanted to go find Hillary Clinton's local office. April and i found it and got suckered in to some volunteering. We also got shirts, buttons, bumper stickers and a yard sign. :) woohoo!

So my volunteering job started today. I had to go before work to this lady's house in Easley (its the neighboring store to my work, so i didnt mind). Anyway, she had filled out an absentee ballot and was unable physically to get it sent in...She was crazy as hell! It was awesome! Not like britney crazy, but funny! She was telling me all these stories!
For instance, she was telling me when she moved from Florida, her neighbors (which are...and i quote..."Deaf but not stupid". Er...wtf) dogs like terrorized hers and she went after them with her cane. Lol wtf! I was like. Ummmm ohkay.. She was very lonely, i think. But uber Hillary supportive.

Then i went to work, and our district manager was there. She was happy with us for a change! We got a 12 out of 13 on her visit! Yay!!

Off to bed for a bit! I have some pics to post but they will have to wait. :(
